Each family is unique and each person has a different tolerance to certain behaviours. However, it is important for you to pay attention to, accept and respect your own feelings, especially if you feel intimidated or concerned about your
relative’s behaviour.
It can be confusing when you’re trying to support your relative while also trying to set limits. There is no right or wrong way to set limits. You need to make your own decisions, which involves understanding your boundaries.
