Supporting your relative’s recovery

Keep realistic expectations

Experiencing symptoms of psychosis as well as unpleasant medication side-effects may make it difficult to continue with daily activities. Your relative may stop participating in routine activities, such as taking showers, cleaning up and coming for meals. It is important to have small and manageable expectations that your relative continue their routines, such as washing every day or going for fresh air, among others.
