Other medications

Other medications may also be used with antipsychotics when treating psychosis:

    Mood stabilizers may be used to treat problems with extremes in mood.
    Anti-anxiety medications and antidepressants may be used to treat co-occurring issues such as anxiety and depression.
    Anticholinergics may be used to treat the side-effects of antipsychotic medications, such as stiffness, tremors and muscle contractions.
