Maintain hope

It is important to have hope for your relative’s recovery and your own well-being. The recovery process for your relative may take longer than you had initially expected and there may be times when you feel impatient and hopeless about the future. However, hope involves believing in your ability to overcome adversity. Many people who experience psychosis have successfully recovered and your relative can too. The best outcomes will be achieved when you work together with your relative and the health care team.
