Staying safe

One type of crisis involves a threat to you or your family’s safety. You may be concerned about emotional, physical, sexual or financial safety and security.

Have you ever felt unsafe (e.g., emotionally and/or physically) in your relationship?

What made you feel unsafe (e.g., behaviour or statements from the other person or from themselves, or particular situations)?

Not feeling safe may relate to fears of what a relative might do to someone else or of what they might do to themselves.
