Treatment
Treatment for mental health challenges may come in many forms, including individual, group or family counselling and medication. In Ontario, treatment and supports for mental health challenges are provided across many settings, including by community-based health services, family doctors, psychiatrists, hospitals, outpatient programs, clinics and private practitioners.1
The most helpful methods are different for everybody. Over time, each person will learn what works best for them. If you try something and do not like it, speak to your provider, teen or community health centre or a trusted friend or adult about options that might be a better fit.
