You can play a role in supporting your loved one during different stages of change. Under the heading, “Ways to support recovery,” you’ll find a list of strategies that can help during specific stages. Try to determine which strategy would work well for which stage of change (contemplation, pre-contemplation, preparation, action, maintenance, or relapse).
