How can you increase your support system?
Friends and extended family members often want to help, but many not know what kind of help to offer. Small amounts of support from various friends and family can be helpful. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Consider a list of things that friends and family may be able to help you with when things seem overwhelming. You may want to ask a cousin to help with grocery shopping or preparing a meal, or a friend to help vacuum during visits. Everyone in your support network may have something to offer to help and support you.
