Recognize and accept the impact the substance use problem has on you.
Know your own limitations with the situation and that you have limited ability to change others.
Focus on and prioritize the importance of looking after yourself.
Look for support through information, education, building a support network and stress management. (We will explore these points in later modules.)
Consider joining a family support group.
